This multi level sports facility with a main arena accommodating 6,000 spectators is a built idea emanating from the notion of ground or in Greek topio, a primary design criterion of the architectural competition this project won. Its sectional idea is both an implant into and a continuation of the existing site contours, while its multi layer undulating roof surfaces are meant to visually float just above the surrounding hills, thus demonstrating another expression of ground.
