Two concurrent exhibitions at Pratt Institute on the work of architect and educator Theoharis David are being featured in the online journal Places.
The first exhibition titled "An Architect Drawing" focuses on Mr. David's drawings and opens on February 16th. It will be on view until September 28th 2012.
The second larger exhibition titled "Built Ideas: A Life of Teaching, Learning and Action" will celebrate Mr. David's body of work as well as that of his students. The exhibition opens on March 1st with a reception and lecture by Mr. David and will be on view until March 30th 2012.
Founded 28 years ago by architecture faculty at MIT and Berkeley, Places is an interdisciplinary journal of contemporary architecture, landscape and urbanism, with particular emphasis on the public realm as physical place and social ideal.
