Theoharis David has been invited by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe to be guest speaker at Coup de Dés 2010 in Barcelona, which this year focuses on the contemporary legacy of Modernism in Eastern Mediterranean Cities within the framework of ETSAB/UPC and Docomomo.
Prof. David will present his housing development “Gladstonos 22” in Nicosia as it relates to Modernism and the revitalization of historic cities and related to a presentation by Nicosia Municipal Architect Agni Petridou on the rehabilitation of the walled city of Nicosia.
World renowned guest speakers will present projects in the Eastern Mediterranean cities of Istanbul, Beirut, Tel Aviv and Alexandria.
