Private Residence

Nicosia, Cyprus

Symbolism through the choice and use of a specific material, metal cladding, to define the sharp wedged volume which contains an amateur radio studio that is part of the identity of the client, helps describe this volumetrically modulated family residence. This symbolic use of material is repeated at significant functional junctures of the house.  The integration of a curvilinear rough stone retaining wall underscores further the symbolic idea and material behind the architecture.
