Epavlis Ulysses

Pomos, Cyprus

This vacation home is situated on a cliffside overlooking the northwest Mediterranean coast of Cyprus. It is entered through a curved high walled enclosure, which leads to an interior courtyard, from which one can go directly into the main house or enter through the secondary courtyard into the guest wing.

The main two level structure of the house projects over the cliff, thus allowing 270-degree unobstructed views from the living areas, which open out to suspended outdoor wooden decks. The bedrooms located on the upper level connect to a roofscape, which is meant to be reminiscent of the deck of a ship.
